Raiders Spring House

Reston Raiders offers several Spring Hockey options for those who are interested in staying on the ice this Spring. Spring League is intended as a fun time for youth ice hockey where teams play games without standings or playoffs. Spring House League begins in mid-March and runs until mid-June. 

Space in the Spring program is limited, so register soon to save your player a spot on a team.  

2011 Travel players and older will only be eligible for our High School League. High School Seniors are ineligible to play in the Spring House League and Spring HS League. 

Any player rostered on a Travel or Spring Selects team for any other youth hockey program is not eligible to play in the Reston Raider Spring House League. There are no individual registrations for the HS League. Contact your HS team to see if they are fielding a Spring team. 

Some exceptions for eligibility and age placement levels are made for goaltenders, based on registrations at each level as well as the particular skill level of each goaltender, subject to approval by the Spring House League Director.

The Raiders are excited to announce that once again the club will have two girls-only teams competing in this year's spring coed house league! These teams are contingent on adequate registration.

***Girls who played this season at 14U and older are expected to play on a team that competes in the non-checking 14/16 House division and plays games on Sunday mornings.  

***Girls who played this season at 12U or 10U are expected to compete on a team that, depending on the age mix of the girls team, will play in either the 10U or 12U division and play games on Saturday mornings.  

Games will begin on the weekend of March 14 or March 21. The season will wrap-up the weekend of June 6 & 7. Unlike the coed House teams, girls who register for all-girls teams will not have practice during the spring season. Instead, the club encourages girls who participate on these teams and would like to practice to sign-up for the girls travel tryout prep practices.  

Please note that, based on registrations the club may adjust rosters and the division in which the girls teams play, in order to ensure players and teams are placed in competitive divisions most appropriate for their age and skill level.  

Select Girls Only option when registering. The cost to participate on a girls-only team is $300.

*Note if you are a major birth year Co-Ed/Youth Travel player you must play up in the Spring (e.g. 12U 2013 Travel players in 2025-26 Fall season will register to play Spring House at 14U). Current major birth year Co-Ed/Youth House players will move up to the next division in the fall season. In order to get a refund for Spring league you will need to withdraw (by sending an email to registrar@restonraiders.com) no later than (March 22 ). A $25 refund processing fee will apply for withdrawals made by March 22. Refunds and withdrawals will not be permitted after March 22.
